information in English

Are you thinking of traveling to Retrospillmessen from a country outside Norway? No problem! Each year we have several international visitors. Getting around in Norway is easy because we all speak English as a second language! Which means that you will have no problem communicating in english with taxi drivers, hotels, people at the event or other people you might stumble upon in Norway.

Tickets

Tickets for Retrospillmessen can be purchased either online or at the expo. The only difference is that you might have to wait slightly longer in line to enter without a prepurchased ticket. We will not run out of tickets. If you want to purchase a ticket and can’t read Norwegian we have an english version of our ticket-site you can use. Simply click the english button in the top right corner of the page. Tickets: https://retrospillmessen.hoopla.no/sales/rsm2017

Travel

The convention is held in Sandefjord, Norway, about 1 1/2 hours drive from the capital of Oslo. Runarhallen is accessible either by bus or taxi from the center of Sandefjord. For most people it is not walking distance, but with google maps you might be able to walk it. Runarhallen is searchable as a word in Google Maps. We recommend all international travellers to fly directly to Torp International Airport in Sandefjord if possible. From there you can take a taxi to the town center of Sandefjord. If you end up travelling to Oslo International Airport, which is fine as well, know that you have to take 2-3 hour train ride to get to Sandefjord.

Hotel

There are several hotels available in down-town Sandefjord. We recommend searching via hotels.com. The convention is located close to one of the main highways in Norway, E18. We recommend travelling with GPS. The address is either Runarhallen or Klavenesveien 20, 3220 Sandefjord, Norway.
